Dato' Adnan Haji Othman, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia this morning received Commander Martin Anandarajah Sebastian, Commanding Officer of KD Handalan, Lt. Commander Mohd. Samsuri Katemon of KD Pendekar and Lt. Jalaluddin Yusof of KD Ganyang at Rumah Malaysia.
According to Commander Martin Anandarajah Sebastian, Commanding Officer of KD Handalan, both KD Pendekar and KD Ganyang were making an operational visit to Kampong Som (Port Sihanoukville) from 24 to 26 September 2007 to strengthen bilateral relations between the two navies. The RMN Commanding Officers had earlier called on the Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defence and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Navy to exchange views and discuss areas of possible cooperation.
Dato' Adnan expressed his appreciation to the RMN Commanding Officers for their call and for debriefing him on the outcome of the visit. Both KD Pendekar and KD Ganyang will depart Port Sihanoukville and sail for home late afternoon of 26 September 2007.
