As a symbol of collaboration between Maybank Foundation, Permanent Mission of Malaysia to ASEAN and the Embassy, YBhg. Dato' Mohd Hanif Suadi - CEO of Maybank Cambodia presented the Special Framed Masks, which to be delivered to the Secretary-General of ASEAN for display at the new ASEAN Gallery in Jakarta.
Maybank Foundation's flagship programme - Maybank Women Eco-Weavers is designed to promote traditional textiles in a sustainable manner, whilst creating economic independence and financial inclusion for women weavers across the ASEAN region.
Under the "Gift of Love" initiative, the weavers contributed face masks as part of their efforts in combating #COVID19 and to demonstrate their solidarity with the ASEAN friends. We are hopeful that the initiative will further strengthen the goodwill between Malaysia and the ASEAN Member States.
