4 September 2025 – Mr. Ritesh Kumar Singh, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Smart Axiata, together with its senior leadership team, made a courtesy call on H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia at the Embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh. Mr. Ritesh succeeds Mr. Ziad Shatara, who had led Smart Axiata since January 2023, and has now been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Robi Axiata in Bangladesh.
Smart Axiata is a subsidiary of Axiata Group Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading telecommunications groups. Smart Axiata is a key Malaysian enterprise majority-owned by several national investment and pension funds of the Government of Malaysia, including Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund.
