The Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, made a courtesy call on the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, H.E. Khuon Sodary, at the National Assembly, Phnom Penh. H.E. Khuon Sodary congratulated H.E. Shaharuddin Onn on his appointment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia. She expressed that the Parliament of Cambodia is always open to welcome the Ambassador and the Embassy to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. H.E. Khuon Sodary also remarked that the ties and cooperation between the national assemblies of the two countries could also be further enhanced through the Friendship Groups, Women MPs, Young MPs, and the Secretariat-General. H.E. Shaharuddin Onn conveyed his deepest gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated H.E. Khuon Sodary on her election as the first female President of the National Assembly. H.E reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Malaysia and Cambodia, particularly in trade and investment, human resources, education, vocational technical training (TVET), digital technology connectivity, and the halal food industry.
