H.E. Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, accompanied by officials of the Embassy attended the declaration of “Mine-Free Village” ceremony in Sdok Commune, Kampong Speu Province organized by the Malaysian Business Chamber of Cambodia (MBCC) this morning. The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Senior Minister Ly Thuch, 1st Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA). The fund for this project was donated by MBCC, collected during MBCC’s Charity Gala Dinner on 1 August 2022. During the event, H.E. Datuk Ambassador also had the opportunity to visit the site and interact with the villagers. Congratulations to the Government and people of Cambodia and MBCC for their efforts in making the mine clearance project in Cambodia a success.
