International Children’s Day - 1 June 2019

International Children’s Day in Cambodia was celebrated on Saturday, 1 June 2019. To mark the 70th anniversary of that special day, the government of the Kingdom of Cambodia organized a memorable ceremony in Koh Pich Theater Hall, in Phnom Penh. The event was presided over by H.E. Ke Kim Yan, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, representing the Prime Minister, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen. The event was attended by about three thousand Cambodian school children, their teachers, Senators, Members of Parliament and government officials. A number of representatives of diplomatic Missions based in Phnom Penh were also there. Mr Ruzaimi Mohamad, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission represented the Embassy of Malaysia at the event.
