On Monday afternoon, 10 June 2019, Ambassador Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim had a meeting with the Secretary of State Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Her Excellency Hou Samith. The meeting was held at the Ministry and joined by a few embassy officials, Mr Ruzaimi - Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr Rizam - First Secretary and Colonel Hazmi - Defence Attache. A number of officials from the Cambodian Ministry of Women’s Affairs were also at the meeting. Among the topics discussed by the Ambassador and H.E. Hou Samith were the involvement and opportunities for women in education and their leadership role. They also discussed issues related to trafficking in persons where both countries can cooperate in combating human trafficking activities. H.E. Hou Samith appreciated the Ambassador’s decision to meet her at the Ministry and discussed ways to expedite the process to finalise the draft MoU on the cooperation in combating trafficking in persons.
