OFFICIAL VISIT OF Y.A.B. DATO' SRI MOHD NAJIB BIN TUN HAJI ABDUL RAZAK, PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA TO CAMBODIA
Y.A.B. Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak held an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia on 9-11 May 2010. He was accompanied by his wife, Y.A.Bhg. Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor, Y.B. Dato' Sri Anifah Aman, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato'Jacob Dungau Sagan, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, senior government officials and business delegates.
Y.A.B. Prime Minister paid a courtesy call on H.E. Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of Cambodia and subsequently both prime ministers led a delegation meeting to discuss matters of mutual interest. Y.A.B. Prime Minister also paid courtesy calls on H.E. Samdech Akka Moha Thormak Porthisal CHEA SIM, President of the Senate and H.E. Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei HENG SAMRIN, Speaker of the National Assembly. Y.A.B. Prime Minister also had a Royal Audience with His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM SIHAMONI, King of Cambodia.
A business forum was also organized by MATRADE and the climax of the forum was a business luncheon hosted by Y.A.B. Prime Minister and also attended by Samdech HUN SEN.
Samdech HUN SEN hosted a dinner in honour of Y.A.B. Prime Minister's official visit.
Y.A.B. Prime MInister also visited a Malaysian company, HELLO telecommunication which was a subsidiary of Axiata Group. He also visited the construction site of the new Malaysian Embassy complex and planted a tree to commemorate his visit.
During his courtesy call with Samdech HUN SEN, Y.A.B. Prime Minister expressed his hope that Governments of Malaysia and Cambodia could further strengthen the bilateral relations especially in the areas of trade and regional cooperation. Y.A.B. Prime Minister also invited Samdech HUN SEN to visit Malaysia in the near future.
