The Embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh hosted Rumah Terbuka or Open House to celebrate a month-long Aidilfitri in the evening of 11 July 2017. The Open House was held at the Embassy’s hall – Dewan Malaysia. Hundreds of Malaysians, who are living and working across Cambodia, and Cambodian Muslims as well as friends from the embassies of Pakistan, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Timor Leste attended the Open House.
Among the highlights of the Open House were the attendance of HE Datuk Othman Hassan – Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia as well as performance from the embassy staff, followed by video greetings from Malaysian celebrities, including Norman KRU, Waris, Amy Search, Angah Raja Lawak and Dato’ Seri Vida. The celebration ended with an open karaoke session.
