9 May 2025 – His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia attended the launch of the Smart Startup Space by Smart Axiata at the Connexion Building in Koh Pich. The Smart Startup Space is a cutting-edge hub designed to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs. The event was presided over by His Excellency Keo Sothie, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.
In his remarks, H.E. Shaharuddin Onn emphasised that the launch of the Smart Startup Space not only demonstrates Smart’s commitment to entrepreneurship but also Malaysia’s commitment to support Cambodia’s aspiration towards digital transformation. He further highlighted that this initiative further reflects the already strong and growing ties between Malaysia and Cambodia, and fostering business collaboration and trade between both countries.
