19 July 2025 – His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, together with Embassy staff, participated in and showed support for a surgical mission organised by Smile Cambodia, dedicated to humanitarian healthcare.
Smile Cambodia’s fourth surgical mission for 2025 was concluded successfully on 19 July 2025, with 60 patients screened and 44 surgeries performed over two days. The Embassy also distributed goody bags to the patients and their families as part of its efforts to support this noble initiative.
In the evening, H.E. Ambassador attended the closing ceremony dinner hosted by Smile Cambodia at Sunway Hotel, Phnom Penh. In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador highlighted the role of Smile Cambodia and Malaysian medical volunteers in further strengthening people-to-people ties between Cambodia and Malaysia, and applauded their selfless dedication and contribution to the success of the mission.
