3 May 2025 - His Excellency Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia and Madam Zuraini Khalil participated in the Smile Cambodia Surgical Mission in Kampot. Smile Cambodia, a non-government organisation, provides free surgeries for patients with cleft lip and palate and other facial deformities. During the 3-day mission, 45 patients were screened and 30 patients underwent surgery.
Surgeons, medical doctors and volunteers from Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar took part in the Kampot Surgical Mission. The Smile Cambodia Kampot Medical Mission received sponsorships and donations from the Rotary Clubs of Likas Bay Kota Kinabalu; Kuching Central; Senawang; and Penang of Malaysia; and LuChou of Taiwan.
