On 21 March 2024, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) of Malaysia, YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im bin Haji Mokhtar and the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Cambodia, YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Azam Ab Rahman, were in Cambodia to attend an iftar dinner hosted by the Prime Minister of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the OCIC Hall, Phnom Penh. This is the 8th hosting of such event, dedicated for the muslim community in Cambodia and the invited muslim leaders and NGOs from all over the muslim world. The iftar dinner symbolises unity and harmony amongst all its citizens in celebrating differences and co-existing peacefully with others of different religions and backgrounds. The Embassy hopes the event will continue to be hosted in the future for Malaysia-Cambodia relations to continue to nourish especially at people to people level.
