On 10 August 2023, The Embassy of Malaysia was visited by the delegation from Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam Malaysia (DMDI) led by YBhg Datin Sri Azreen Abu Noh, the Chairman of the Economic Bureau, DMDI. The delegation’s meeting with His Excellency Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, aimed to discuss about the upcoming DMDI Conference that will be hosted for the first time outside Malaysia and Cambodia was chosen as the venue for this year. The Conference will be held from 22-25 September 2023. DMDI was established in 2000, an initiation of YAB Tun Dr Mohd Ali bin Rustam, the Governor of Malacca to promote unity and cooperation between Malay-Muslim community and other communities all over the world. Countries with dominant Malay-Muslim citizens like South Africa, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Madagascar, are among its 22 member states. The Embassy wishes for the conference to be a great avenue for all members of DMDI to discuss matters for their mutual benefits and for the event to be a successful one.
