23-25 February 2025 - YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad Bin Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia made a Working Visit to Cambodia.
YB Minister held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dith Tina, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Cambodia to explore opportunities for strengthening agricultural cooperation between Malaysia and Cambodia. The visit also provided YB Minister an opportunity to observe Cambodia’s agricultural market and explore potential areas for future collaboration in the field of agriculture between the two countries.
YB Minister also visited a snakehead and catfish aquaculture farm in Kampong Os, Kandal Province; a dried fish processing plant in Phnom Penh; PRIMALIS Corporation Ltd’s rice processing plant in Kampong Speu; and Al-Amin Mart, a retail store under the Melewar Group that specializes in food products sourced from Malaysian SMEs.
The working visit concluded with a networking dinner with key industry players, organised by BERNAS, to strengthen partnerships and enhance bilateral engagement in the agricultural sector.
