For the second year in a row, Embassy of Malaysia in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuwait City, the Chair-country of ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) for 2018-2019 today co-hosted the Celebration of the 52nd of the Anniversary of the Establishment of ASEAN, or fondly known as ASEAN Day. The event was graced with the attendance of Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Khalifa, the Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait as the Guest of Honour.
Today's commemoration event was also attended by the Ambassadors and CDA a.i. of the ACK, the Ambassadors of ASEAN's four Dialogue Partners namely China, Japan, India and Australia a well as fficials from ASEAN Embassies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait. The event began with the ASEAN flag hoisting ceremony, and the singing of the National Anthem of the State of Kuwait as well as the ASEAN Anthem, the ASEAN Way.
H.E. Ambassador Dusit Manapan, the Chairman of ACK 2018-2019 then delivered his opening speech, followed by the speech by H.E. Ambassador Trinh Minh Manh of Vietnam, the upcoming ASEAN Chairman in 2020. A photo session was held after that, followed by some light refreshments where the guests were feted with varieties of delicacies from ASEAN countries.

SAMBUTAN HARI ASEAN KE-52, 8 OGOS 2019
Untuk tahun kedua berturut-turut, Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Kuwait, dengan kerjasama Kedutaan Besar Diraja Negara Thai, Kuwait City, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa ASEAN di Kuwait (ACK) untuk 2018-2019 hari ini telah bersama-sama menganjurkan Sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-52 Penubuhan ASEAN, atau dikenali sebagai Hari ASEAN. Acara ini turut disambut dengan kehadiran Encik Abdul Razzaq Al-Khalifa, Timbalan Penolong Menteri Luar Negeri untuk Hal Ehwal Asia, Kementerian Luar Negeri Negeri Kuwait sebagai Tetamu Kehormat.
Acara peringatan hari ini juga dihadiri oleh Duta Besar dan Kuasa-Kuasa Usaha sementara dari ACK, Duta-Duta Besar dari 4 Rakan Dialog ASEAN, iaitu China, Jepun, India dan Australia serta pegawai-pegawai dari Kedutaan Besar ASEAN di Kuwait dan Kementerian Luar Negeri Negeri Kuwait. Acara ini bermula dengan upacara menaikan panji ASEAN, dan nyanyian Lagu Kebangsaan Negara Kuwait serta Lagu Rasmi ASEAN, The ASEAN Way.
TYT Ambassador Dusit Manapan, Pengerusi ACK 2018-2019 menyampaikan ucapan alu-aluan beliau, diikuti oleh ucapan oleh TYT Ambassador Trinh Minh Manh dari Vietnam, bakal Pengerusi ASEAN 2020. Sesi foto diadakan selepas itu, diikuti oleh santapan juadah ringan ringan di mana para tetamu dihidangkan dengan pelbagai hidangan dari negara-negara ASEAN.
