His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, the Sultan of Perak made a visit to Kuwait on 2-3 November 2025. During the visit, as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah made courtesy calls on His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait; and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait; as well as met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah’s visit was also in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Kuwait, having established diplomatic ties in 1965.
