Ambassador of Malaysia to the State of Kuwait, Dato' Adnan Haji Othman and family attended a Barbeque Evening organised by the Malaysian Association of Kuwait (MAK). The Barbeque Evening was held on Friday 14 October 2011 from 6 - 10 pm at the car park of the Embassy of Malaysia Complex in Daiya. About 100 Malaysians turned up comprising MAK members with their respective families.
At the Barbeque Evening, Encik Megat Badrul Hisham, President of MAK introduced Dato' Adnan to those who were meeting him for the first time. In his brief remarks, Dato' Adnan praised MAK for organising such activities which have turned Malaysians in Kuwait into a very close-knitted big family. MAK's activities have to date complemented those organised by the Embassy.
Malaysians were treated to grilled food prepared by MAK, as well as the pot-luck dishes brought by the Malaysian families. Malaysians were also entertained to live karaoke performances by members of MAK.
MAK's Barbeque Evening is an annual event to usher in winter that would soon arrive Kuwait in the next few weeks.
