ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) successfully organized its annual Family Day event on 15 December 2018. For this year's edition, it has been organized at the Kuwait University Sports Center, Shuwaikh.
300 guests from the ASEAN community members, friends and families in Kuwait thronged the fun-packed event began at 10 am. Various exciting activities were conducted to light up the programme, amongst others, Zumba Dance led by Malaysian fitness instructor Ms. Zida Zainal, lucky draw, fun games for kids and adults and friendly football match among the combined embassies group. The highlight of the day was the inter-embassies Tug-of-War challenge which saw the team from Malaysia emerged as champion, defeating Thailand at the final round.
The guests were also enjoying themselves with various scrumptious dishes and cuisines prepared by the nine ASEAN embassies in Kuwait. The event has successfully strengthened the sense of belonging and the spirit of solidarity and friendship among the ASEAN community members in Kuwait, in line with the implementation of ASEAN Community and the People-centric ASEAN.
