ASEAN Badminton Club in Kuwait organised ASEAN-Kuwait Friendly Badminton Tournament in collaboration with Kuwait Badminton Club on 25 June 2022 at Kuwait Olympic Committee.
The tournament, which was held in two categories (Men-doubles and Women-doubles) received an overwhelming response from almost 50 players from ASEAN communities residing in Kuwait and young Kuwaitis.
The event significantly impacted ASEAN, as it portrays the concept of solidarity among its members in Kuwait. Furthermore, organising the event could also educate the young Kuwaitis on the existence of ASEAN as one of the solid regional associations representing millions of people in the Southeast Asia region.
For the Men-doubles category, both ASEAN team represented by Brunei Darussalam beat other ASEAN team represented by Malaysia and Thailand. While in the Women-doubles category, the Kuwaiti team managed to defeat the ASEAN team represented by both players from Malaysia.
