On 2 Aug 2022, H.E Boun Inthabandith, Ambassador-designate of Lao PDR met wt H.E Dato’ Mohammad Ali Selamat at the latter’s office. Both agreed to further strengthen bilateral ties between Malaysia and Lao PDR.
