The Embassy had hosted an iftar (breaking of fast) among the Malaysian community in Kuwait, to mark the 52nd National Day of Malaysia. The event was held on 28 August 2009, a few days ahead of the actual National Day, which falls on 31 August 2009. The even was held at the Embassy's premises.
The event began with a light iftar followed by the Maghrib prayers. After the prayers, the programme continued with the raising of the Jalur Gemilang, followed and doa for the well being and prosperity of Malaysia.
The programme later continued with dinner, which was followed by the Isya' prayers and subsequently, the terawih prayers.
