In the afternoon of Friday, 5 February 2016, the Malaysian Association Kuwait (MAK) held its Annual General Meeting for 2016 at the Multipurpose Hall of the Embassy of Malaysia in Kuwait.
The AGM was officially opened by Mr. Yap Wei Sin, Counsellor / Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, who represented His Excellency Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, Ambassador of Malaysia to Kuwait and MAK Patron after opening remarks by Mr. Mikhail Harith, the outgoing MAK President.
At the AGM, the following individuals were elected as the new MAK committee for 2016:
- President: Mr. Romizi Zaini
- Vice President: Mr. Helmie Halim Nasron
- Secretary Mr. Fakhri Khairuddin
- Treasurer: YM Tengku Zainol Hakim Tengku Zawawi
Certificates of appreciation were also presented to the outgoing MAK committee members of 2015.
The Embassy wishes to congratulate Mr. Romizi, the new MAK President and his committee success in 2016. The Embassy also expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Mikhail, the outgoing MAK President and his committee of 2015 for all their excellent work which has greatly benefitted the Malaysian community in Kuwait.

Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan 2016 Persatuan Malaysia Kuwait (MAK), 5 Februari 2016
Pada hari Jumaat, 2 Februari 2016, Persatuan Malaysia Kuwait (MAK) telah mengadakan Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan bagi tahun 2016, bertempat di Dewan Serbaguna Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Kuwait.
AGM tersebut telah dirasmikan oleh Encik Yap Wei Sin, Penasihat / Kuasa Usaha Sementara Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Kuwait mewakili T.Y.T. Dato' Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Kuwait dan penaung MAK selepas kata-kata pembukaan Encik Mikhail Harith, Presiden MAK bagi tahun 2015.
Hasil dari AGM tersebut, AJK MAK bagi tahun 2016 yang dilantik adalah seperti berikut:
i. Presiden: Romizi Zaini
ii. Timbalan Helmie Halim Nasron
iii. Setiausaha: Fakhri Khairuddin
iv. Bendahari: YM Tengku Zainol Hakim Tengku Zawawi
Sijil penghargaan juga telah disampaikan kepada ahli-ahli AJK MAK bagi tahun 2015 atas sumbangan yang cemerlang pada tahun tersebut.
Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Kuwait ingin mengucapkan tahniah kepada Encik Romizi, Presiden MAK dan ahli-ahli jawatankuasa MAK bagi tahun 2016. Kedutaan Besar juga ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Encik Mikhail, Presiden MAK 2015 dan ahli-ahli jawatankuasa MAK 2015 ke atas sumbangan cemerlang mereka kepada masyarakat Malaysia di Kuwait.
