Malaysian National Day Reception 2011

In conjunction with the 54th Anniversary of Malaysia's Independence, His Excellency Dato' Adnan Haji Othman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the State of Kuwait and Datin Azlinda Rosli hosted the 54th Malaysia National Day Reception at the The Regency Hotel, Kuwait.


The large turn out at the National Day Reception comprised esteemed Kuwaiti dignitaries, senior government officials, distinguished Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, members of the corporate world, members of media and representatives of the Malaysian community.  The Guest of Honour representing the Government of Kuwait to grace the occasion was His Excellency Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The Reception began at 7.00pm with the arrival of distinguish guests before Dato' Adnan and His Excellency Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah, accompanied by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Al-Fares, the Governor of Hawally, stepped onto the stage to honour the national anthems of both Kuwait and Malaysia, and subsequently cut the ceremonial cake.


Guests were treated with Malaysian cuisine which include the all-time favourites like satay with peanut sauce, beef rendang and prawn sambal prepared by Chef Vincent of Malaysia who was specially flown from Dubai by the hotel.


The Embassy of Malaysia would like to express its sincere gratitude to all distinguished guests for their attendance and joining in the joyous occasion to celebrate the 54th National Day of Malaysia.
