HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, the Crown Prince of the State of Perak, Malaysia, in his capacity as the Ambassador for the Malaysian International Islamic Financial Center (MIFC) led a 27 member delegation to Kuwait from 21-24 October 2008, to promote the MIFC.

The delegation comprised of the following Malaysian government agencies:

i. Bank Negara Malaysia led by its Deputy Governor,
ii.Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) led by its Director-General,
iii. The Executive Director of the Securities Commission
iv. Bursa Malaysia led by its Chief Operating Officer
v. Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA) led by its Director-General
vi, Khazanah Malaysia led by its Senior Vice President

The delegation also included 10 Malaysian companies and a reporter from BERNAMA.

HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah was welcomed by HE Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Minister of the Amiri Diwan, who is also the son of the HH the Amir of State of Kuwait and several Kuwaiti royal family members.

During his stay in Kuwait, HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah had the opportunity to make a courtesy call to HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait and met HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait. HH the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait also hosted a lunch in honour of Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah.

As part of the visit, the Kuwait Finance House and Al-Aqilah Investment Group, respectively, hosted a luncheon and dinner, during which Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah gave keynote addresses, followed by promotional presentations from representatives of the respective Malaysian agencies.

Additionally, Nasser Al-Kharafi, President of MA Al-Kharafi & Sons hosted a dinner in honour of HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah and delegation.

On the last day of the visit, HE Dato' Ashaary Sani, Ambassador of Malaysia to the

State of Kuwait and his wife, HE Datin Karimah Mat Noordin hosted breakfast in honour of HRH Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah and the delegation at the Ambassador's residence.
