Visit of YABhg Tun Musa Hitam, Special Envoy of the Honourable Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) and Former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia to Kuwait, 18-19 August 2013
YABhg Tun Musa Hitam, Special Envoy of the Honourable Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Chairman of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) and Former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia made a visit to Kuwait on 18 and 19 August 2013. The Special Envoy was accompanied by YBhg Tan Sri Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, Secretary General of the WIEF and Former Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
While in Kuwait the Special Envoy had an audience with His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Amir and Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait on 19 August 2013 to personally extend the official invitation from the Government of Malaysia to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait to attend the 9th WIEF in London, the United Kingdom 29 to 31 October 2013. The Secretary General of the WIEF, His Excellency Dato’ Adnan Haji Othman, Ambassador of Malaysia to Kuwait and His Excellency Frank Baker OBE, British Ambassador to Kuwait were also present at the audience.
The Secretary General of WIEF also had a courtesy call on His Excellency Mohammad Y. Al-Hashal, Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait on 18 August 2013, to personally invite him to the Central Bankers Session at the 9th WIEF.
During the visit, the Special Envoy held two media one-on-one interviews on 18 August 2013. The first interview was with Kuwait Television’s English Channel, KTV2, while the second was with a reporter syndicated to various English and Arabic mainstream newspapers in Kuwait.
The Special Envoy hosted a dinner on 18 August 2013 at the Sheraton Hotel, attended by the Secretary General of the WIEF, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kuwait and the British Ambassador to Kuwait. The Ambassador of Malaysia also hosted a lunch in honour of the Special Envoy and Secretary General of the WIEF on 19 August 2013 at the Regency Hotel.

Lawatan oleh YABhg Tun Musa Hitam, Utusan Khas YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Pengerusi Forum Ekonomi Islam Dunia (WIEF) dan Bekas Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia ke Kuwait, 18-19 Ogos 2013
YABhg Tun Musa Hitam, Utusan Khas YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Perdana Menteri Malaysia, Pengerusi Forum Ekonomi Islam Dunia (WIEF) dan Bekas Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia telah melakukan lawatan ke Kuwait pada 18 dan 19 Ogos 2013. Beliau diiringi oleh YBhg Tan Sri Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, Setiausaha Agung WIEF dan Bekas Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Luar Negeri Malaysia.
Semasa lawatan tersebut, Utusan Khas telah mengadap Yang Teramat Mulia Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Timbalan Amir dan Raja Muda Kuwait pada 19 Ogos 2013 untuk menyampaikan jemputan rasmi dari Kerajaan Malaysia kepada Amir Kuwait untuk menghadiri WIEF ke-9 di London, United Kingdom dari 29 hingga 31 Oktober 2013. Setiausaha Agung WIEF, TYT Dato’ Adnan Haji Othman, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Kuwait dan TYT Frank Baker OBE, Duta Besar UK ke Kuwait turut hadir semasa majlis mengadap tersebut.
Setiausaha Agung WIEF juga telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas TYT Mohammad Y. Al-Hashal, Gabenor Bank Negara Kuwait pada 18 Ogos 2013, untuk menjemput beliau ke Central Bankers Session WIEF ke-9.
Semasa lawatan tersebut, Utusan Khas juga telah mengadakan dua temuduga bersama media pada 18 Ogos 2013, iaitu bersama Televisyen Kuwait (KTV2) dan bersama seorang wartawan tempatan yang disindiketkan kepada beberapa surat khabar Arab dan Inggeris di Kuwait.
Utusan Khas juga telah menghoskan majlis makan malam di Sheraton Hotel yang dihadiri oleh Setiausaha Agung WIEF, Duta Besar Malaysia ke Kuwait dan Duta Besar UK ke Kuwait. TYT Duta Besar Malaysia juga telah menghoskan satu majlis makan tengahari meraikan Utusan Khas dan Setiausaha Agung WIEF pada 18 Ogos 2013 di Regency Hotel, Kuwait.
