Embassy will be contacted by the Police |
Identification body, documents, passport & personal belonging. (Consular Officers to identify) |
Signed documents will be submitted to the Immigration Department of Laos by the Laos Police. (documents must be translated) |
Once approved, original & translated documents will be submitted to the Embassy by Police, family members or colleagues. |
The letter to be submitted to JPN for Death Certificate (Embassy will submit a copy to Consular Division, Wisma Putra & JPN. Original to be submitted by family/colleague) |
Document will be certified and Embassy will produce attestation letter |
NON-MUSLIM - Buried in Laos :
- Malaysia Embassy will obtain confirmation from family members.
- Malaysia Embassy will obtain a family guarantee for funeral expenses.
- The cost of storing the body at the hospital
- Ambulance costs
- Cost of burial such as cloth, casket and grave/cremation.
- Malaysia Embassy/family will contact with Chinese Temple for the funeral process. Malaysia Embassy will monitor all these processes until completion.
- For those who do cremation, it is up to the family to bring the ashes back to Malaysia or not. All related costs will be borne by the family.
