History
The Sarawak Regional Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia was established on 4 October 2010. Its primary objective is to ensure that all matters relating to consular, protocol and public diplomacy are carried out effectively in order to improve the quality of the public delivery services.
At the initial phase, two officers were assigned by the Ministry to set up the office. Currently located at Level 14, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Simpang Tiga in Kuching, Sarawak, the office is tasked with providing consular and other services to both Malaysians and foreigners in Sarawak.
