Visit of the Four Newly Appointed Heads of Malaysian Diplomatic Mission to Sarawak

Four newly appointed Heads of Malaysian Diplomatic Mission (HOMs) made a working visit to Sarawak from 30 to 31 May 2011.

The four HOMs were:

i.          Y.Bhg Dato’ Ramli Naam

Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Ireland

ii.         Ambassador Jamal Hassan

Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Morocco

iii.        Ambassador Mahinder Singh

Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Venezuela

iv.        Ambassador Jojie Samuel

Ambassador of Malaysia to Cuba

During the visit, the four HOMs made a joint courtesy call on Y.A.B. Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak on 31 May 2011 at Wisma Pelita, Kuching.

Prior to the call, the HOMs were briefed on Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) by Y.Bhg Datu Haji Ismawi Ismuni, Director of the Sarawak State Planning Unit. 

The visit was a success and has allowed the new HOMs to be acquainted with the latest socio – economic development in Sarawak as it aspires to achieve an equitable growth and a higher income state by year 2020.

The Sarawak Regional Office extends its best wishes to Ambassador Dato’ Ramli Naam, Ambassador Mahinder Singh, Ambassador Jamal Hassan and Ambassador Jojie Samuel on their new assignment and future endeavours.
