Courtesy Call with the Embassy of Angola in Namibia
On 20 August 2025, the Chargé d’Affaires of Malaysia in Windhoek, Mr. Khornelisman Jasri, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Manuel Adao Domingos, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Angola in Namibia, in the absence of H.E. Ambassador Pedro Mutindi.
Mr. Khornelisman conveyed Malaysia’s warm congratulations to Angola on assuming the 2025 Chairmanship of the African Union under the leadership of H.E. President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço. He also commended Angola’s contributions to regional peace, stability, and economic integration.
Both sides reflected positively on Malaysia–Angola relations, including cooperation under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), and explored avenues for deeper collaboration in trade, industry, education, and sustainable development.
The meeting also touched on the forthcoming official visit to Angola by Malaysia’s Foreign Minister in October 2025, which is expected to further elevate bilateral engagement.
The discussion was fruitful and reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to strengthen relations throughout Mr. Khornelisman’s tenure in Namibia.
