On 18 May 2026, H.E. Dato' Roseli Abdul, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Netherlands, attended a forum jointly organised by the Philippine Embassy in The Hague and the Clingendael Institute, entitled "Philippines' 2026 ASEAN Chairmanship: Priorities and Perspectives on the Indo-Pacific".
With H.E. Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs, presenting the keynote speech, the forum was followed by a panel session involving H.E. Lazaro as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands and the Clingendael Institute.
In essence, the event reinforced the strategic links between the Indo-Pacific and Europe and highlighted the strategic overlaps across both regions. The Embassy would like to congratulate the Philippine Embassy on a successful convening of this event!
