H.E. Ambassador Dr Fauziah Mohamad Taib and officers from the Malaysian Embassy in The Hague visited the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF Expo) on 31st October, 2012. The trade fair is a significant event for the floriculture industry throughout the world and serves all segments of the industry chain -- from breeders, propagators, technical and service suppliers and growers, to importers, wholesalers and retailers. The expo site is strategically located at an excellent venue in Expo Haarlemmermeer, a former Floriade Hall designed and built as a state of the art green house. Two Malaysian important industry players, Hock Wee Nurseries, and ASPAC Floral Foam participated at the expo. The participation from both these companies have the support of the Association of Commercial Orchid Growers and the Federal Marketing Authority (FAMA). Malaysia exports indoor plants and orchids to various parts of the world, including to the Netherlands, Germany and Japan.
