The Malaysia-Netherlands Association (MA-NL), with the support of the Malaysian Embassy, organised a Gala Evening on 13 December 2008 in Rotterdam.
The MA-NL is an association that comprises of Malaysians and their family members who have settled down in the Netherlands. The MA-NL organises various cultural and food fair activities annually in the Netherlands to promote Malaysia and the Gala Evening represents the climax of these activities.
This year’s Gala Evening’s theme of ‘A Confluence of Traditions’ was meant to showcase the melting pot of a myriad of Asian peoples, cultures as well as traditions that co-exist in peace and harmony within Malaysia.
The Malaysian singer Nadia Haswani Hasnan (Nadia–AF) gave a wonderful performance during the event, while the guests had a taste of Malaysian food specially prepared by the Malaysian celebrity chef Chef Ismail.
