The Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague organised a bowling tournament in conjunction with the inaugural celebration of Malaysia National Sports Day on 10 October 2015 at Bowling & Recreation Westerpark, Zoetermeer, Netherlands. The National Sports Day is an initiative by the Youth and Sports Ministry as a proactive measure in transforming Malaysia to become a sporting nation. In support of the program, fifty of home-based and local recruitment staffs and their family members participated in the tournament. The National Sports Day is aimed at inculcating healthy lifestyle among Malaysians of all walks of life by organising sporting events and it has been recognised as one of the national sport agenda in line with the nation’s aspirations towards Vision 2020.
