The annual Malaysian Food Fair organised by the Malaysian Ladies Association Netherlands was held from 2 to 3 June at the Malaysian Embassy, The Hague. To mark the occasion of the Yang DiPertuan Agong's Birthday (2 June 2012), H.E. Ambassador Dr Fauziah Mohamad Taib opened the fair with a speech, followed by the raising of the Malaysian flag, and singing of the national anthem 'Negaraku' and 'Keranamu Malaysia' by those present . Over the course of the two-day event, visitors were offered a wide variety of Malaysian dishes for sale including nasi lemak, keropok lekor, murtabak, sate, rojak, pasembor and nyonya kuih. Visitors were also entertained by the Malaysia Airlines troupe and were given a chance to join in the traditional dancing during the 'joget lambak' session. The Food Fair was a successful event for showcasing Malaysia's diverse culinary heritage in a fun and festive setting.
