The month of June heralds warm weather, sunny skies and delicious Malaysian treats, as the Food Fair is once again hosted at the Malaysian Embassy, The Hague.

This year, the Malaysian Food Fair was held on 14 and 15 June, with participating stalls offering such tasty dishes as nasi lemak, mee goreng, murtabak, nasi beriyani, nasi ayam, satay and ayam percik and a wide range of kueh-mueh including onde-nde, kueh dadar, roti jala and kuih koci. Tasty Malaysian dishes would not be complete though without signature Malaysian drinks!  Such treats as teh tarik, cendol, ais batu kacang and the nostalgia inducing ais krim Malaysia were also on offer at the Food Fair this year. Guests enjoyed a pleasant evening savouring the dishes as well as being entertained to the sweet melodies played by Malaysian flutist Rohi, who was flown in from Malaysia courtesy of Tourism Malaysia.

The Food Fair has become a firm fixture as an annual outreach event to showcase Malaysian dishes and culture, and is made possible by organisers Perwakilan The Hague (Malaysian Ladies Association, The Hague) and cooperation from Malaysian agencies and the participation of members of the Malaysian community in The Netherlands.
