| 10 September 2013 – Ambassador Dr Fauziah Mohamad Taib hosted a reception to mark the 56th anniversary of Malaysia's independence, at Rumah Malaysia, Wassenaar. The event was well-attended by the representatives of the Dutch government and the Palace, members of the diplomatic corps, the business community, the media, and Malaysians living in the Netherlands. Guests were entertained by live singing performances and treated to a sumptuous buffet of Malaysian delicacies. Adding to the festive mood was a custom made cake depicting the Malaysian flag for guests to admire and enjoy. Orchids, specially flown in from Malaysia by the Agriculture Office, were this year's door gifts. |
