SIGNING CEREMONY OF PALMARES PIB COVENANT, 21 DECEMBER 2016

H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Nazri Yusof, Ambassador of Malaysia and officials of the Embassy of Malaysia attended the signing ceremony of PALMARES Covenant Partners for International Business (PIB) on 21st December 2016 at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), in The Hague.
 
PALMARES is a consortium formed by eight Dutch companies, collaborated with the Dutch government to explore the potential of collaboration and investment in research and technology in the field of renewal energy and biomass from palm oil waste and residuals in Malaysia. In his remark, H.E Ambassador welcomes the effort undertaken by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands and PALMERAS, offering Dutch technology and research in biomass and bio waste to Malaysia. He also briefed on the current palm oil industry in Malaysia and the potential the industry could offer in renewable energy and other by-product from palm oil waste and residuals. Eight Dutch companies enlisted under the consortium namely; Stichting Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland (ECN), Blackwood Technology, DMT Environmental Technology, Energy Transformers, Royal Dahlman, Witteveen+Bos, Paques and Wageningen Research Center.
 
Discussion and negotiation are underway between the Dutch consortium and relevant Malaysia public and private entities for potential projects collaboration.
