The Taste of Malaysia 2016 was co-organised by Malaysia Agriculture Office in The Hague and Wah Nam Hong Supermarket from 31 October – 6 November 2016 at Markthal, Rotterdam and officiated by HE Ambassador of Malaysia.
 
Wah Nam Hong Supermarket was established in 1974 in Rotterdam, selling wide range of high quality Asian food products and operates an Asian restaurant offering popular Asian cuisines. The one week event at one of the most popular market hall in Rotterdam showcases various Malaysian exotic fruits such as carambola, mangosteen, dragon fruit, jackfruit, passion fruit, mango, ciku, soursop as well as agro-based food products from Adabi and Agromas.
 
Two Malaysian chefs, Chef Mellisa Van Haarlem and Chef Norman Musa prepared and demonstrated selected Malaysian delicacies and fusion cuisine with elements of Malaysia exotic fruits such as durian crème brûlée and mango and dragon fruit mousse delight. The one week promotion event received encouraging support and feedback from visitors, food enthusiast, bloggers and local media.
