Visit Malaysia Year 2026 Luncheon, 13 November 2025
In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026) campaign, the Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague - in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia The Hague - hosted a luncheon that was attended by around 50 tour operators, travel agents, media personalities, and airline representatives based in the Netherlands. The event aims not only to provide a clearer picture of the VMY2026 campaign, but also to serve as a platform to increase the collaboration between Malaysia and the Dutch tourist industry.
In his welcoming remarks, His Excellency Dato’ Roseli Abdul, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Netherlands, highlighted how VMY2026 is essentially unique in promoting Malaysian tourism as it focuses on several niche tourism sectors in Malaysia, such as ecotourism, medical tourism, edutourism, and halal tourism.
Besides a briefing on VMY2026 by Tourism Malaysia, the luncheon also included cultural performances and networking sessions among the attendees. The guests were then served the classical Malaysian delicacies, namely, karipap and kuih bakar pandan.
