| On 20th June 2013, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob, Agriculture Minister of Malaysia made a working visit to Alkemade Dairy Farm in Wassenar. Amongst those present were Dr Fauziah Mohamad Taib, Ambassador of Malaysia, Mr Jan Hoekeman, Mayor of Wassenar and officials from the Malaysia’s Agriculture Ministry. The purpose of the visit is to tap Dutch technological expertise in areas of dairy production, dairy farming and livestock production in-line with Malaysia’s policy towards achieving self- sustainability. The Dutch dairy industry is known for its strong competitive international position based on high standards for technology and quality. The Minister and delegation members were provided with a briefing and tour of the farm to get first-hand information on how the farm is managed. |
