On Monday, 22 November 2010, 7 participants of Asia New Zealand Young Leaders Forum from New Zealand, Myanmar and Vietnam visited the Malaysian High Commission. The young leaders are selected from among those who have demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to furthering New Zealand – Asia relations. His Excellency Dato’ Hasnudin Hamzah welcomed the young leaders to the High Commission and conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Asia New Zealand Foundation for the opportunity to engage with them and to exchange views about Malaysia – New Zealand relations.
2. In his talk, His Excellency Dato’ Hasnudin Hamzah briefed about the flagship initiatives of the Government under the leadership of YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak; 1Malaysia: People First, Performance Now; Government Transformation Programme (GTP); New Economic Model (NEM); Economic Transformation Programme (ETP); and 10th Malaysia Plan. Q&A session was held afterwards and the leaders expressed their appreciation to His Excellency for rendering his time to exchange ideas and update them about the transformation programme currently undertaken by Malaysia.
3. The session ended with a Malaysian breakfast prepared by Datin Rusnah Ismail. They were treated to enjoy our signature delicacy nasi lemak, chicken rendang, karipap, and cakes.
