AGONG'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED BY THE HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA AT SERENA HOTEL ISLAMABAD ON 13 JUNE 2009 On Saturday, 13 June 2009, the High Commission of Malaysia, Islamabad celebrated the Birthday of HIS MAJESTY AL-WATHIQUBILLAH TUANKU MIZAN ZAINAL ABIDIN the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XIII of Malaysia at Serena Hotel Islamabad followed by luncheon with Malaysian Cuisines.
HER EXCELLENCY MADAM SYEDA FAUZIA, Member of Parliament of Pakistan was invited as the Chief Guest. Other present in the luncheon were ASEAN Heads of Mission, fellow Malaysians, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR KHALID MASOOD, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and other Pakistani friends.
The Purpose of the event is to celebrate the birthday of HIS MAJESTY AL-WATHIQUBILLAH TUANKU MIZAN ZAINAL ABIDIN the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XIII of Malaysia and also prize giving ceremony for Agong?s Golf Tournament which was held on 6 June 2009. The programme started with the National Anthem of Malaysia. HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD welcomed all the guests. In his welcoming speech, His Excellency thanked every one for coming to this special event.
