The delegation from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) paid a courtesy call to the Deputy Chief of Mission on 8 November 2024 as part of its working visit to Seoul from 3 to 9 November 2024. The delegation attended a training programme organised by the Korea Disabled People’s Development Institute (KODDI) entitled “United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)” in Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK), to gain insights and learn from ROK's strategic management for the disabled community.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with key stakeholders, explored best practices in inclusive policies, and analysed effective approaches to enhance the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities in Malaysia. This collaboration aims to strengthen the framework for disability rights within Malaysia, promoting a more inclusive society for all citizens.
