FAREWELL LUNCHEON
IN HONOUR OF ENCIK MOHD. HALIM MD SULAMIN, STAFF ASSISTANT OF
THE HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA
On 12 January 2009, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD, High Commissioner of Malaysia and all Home-Based Staff (HBS) gave a farewell luncheon at RUMAH MALAYSIA in honour of ENCIK MOHD. HALIM MD SULAMIN, Staff Assistant to the Defence Adviser of the High Commission upon the completion of his tour of duty in Islamabad. Besides the HBS, the Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) of the High Commission also attended the luncheon to bid farewell and presented mementos to ENCIK MOHD. HALIM, whom they have known him since 2005.
In his remarks, AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN had categorically stated that ENCIK MOHD. HALIM was the most outstanding ?Role Model? and exemplary to all of us for being professional in his work and the champions of many social, culture and sports activities in Islamabad, such as the winner of Malaysian and ASEAN Karaoke Competitions in 2008 as well as the titleholder of the Malaysian MERDEKA Golf Tournament in 2008. He further took the opportunity to thank ENCIK MOHD. HALIM and his lovely family for their active and continuous participations in all the activities that were related to promote the image of Malaysia and the ASEAN Community in Pakistan, and, in particular Islamabad.
By the same token, AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN welcomed ENCIK MOHD ROFI BIN MAT NAWI and took him to task to underpin the high standards set by ENCIK MOHD. HALIM that was admirable and highly motivated. In his speech of thanks, ENCIK MOHD. HALIM expressed his utmost appreciations to both the HBS and LRS for their support and cooperation during his most memorable three-year stay in Pakistan.
