HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA SIGNS CONDOLENCE BOOK ON THE DEMISE OF FORMER INDONESIAN VICE PRESIDENT

On 3 March 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, signed the Book of Condolence at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Islamabad following the passing of His Excellency Try Sutrisno, former Vice President of the Indonesia.

During the visit, Ambassador Azhar expressed his deepest condolences and conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family as well as to the Government and people of Indonesia. He noted that the late Vice President was a devoted patriot and distinguished statesman whose contributions to Indonesia’s stability and development will be remembered with great respect.

The High Commissioner also reaffirmed Malaysia’s solidarity with Indonesia and underscored the close and longstanding ties between Malaysia and Indonesia, rooted in shared history, culture and people-to-people linkages.

Malaysia stands in solemn solidarity with Indonesia and joins the international community in honouring the legacy and service of the late former Vice President.
