Education Malaysia hosted a roundtable discussion with the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM) and Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (Johor Education Foundation - YPJ) on 16 November 2016. UM and YPJ were in Ho Chi Minh City to study the city's educational system and explore areas of collaboration with local partners. The UM delegation was headed by Assoc. Professor Dr. Mariani Md. Nor, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and YPJ was led by Mr. Mohd Asmadi Alias, Direcor of Skills Development and Education. The Consul General, Consul (Education), UM and YPJ exchaged views on how to attract more Vietnamese to study in Malaysia. A group of Malaysia undergraduate students - attached as research assistants at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - also participated in the event.
