In conjunction with Malaysia’s annual Hari Sukan Negara (National Sports Day), on 17 October 2025, Kelab STMI organised a community sports event at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad. The event brought together home-based staff, locally recruited staff, and their family members for a day of physical activity, camaraderie, and community spirit.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, President of Kelab STMI. In his address, Mr. Syafik highlighted the importance of adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He encouraged all participants to be more active and to prioritise their well-being, noting that maintaining good health through physical activity is also in accordance with the sunnah of Rasulullah SAW.
Mr. Syafik further emphasised that Hari Sukan Negara is not solely a celebration of sports, but also a meaningful occasion that symbolises unity and togetherness. “It is events like these that allow us to strengthen ukhuwah – our bond as colleagues, friends, and as an extended family here in Islamabad,” he said.
The day featured a variety of sporting activities, including table tennis, badminton, cricket, music chair and chess, among others.
The initiative reflects Kelab STMI’s ongoing commitment to promoting wellness, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among staff and their families.
