On Monday, 6 May 2024, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Charge d’Affaires a.i., held a meeting with Mr. Saif Anjum and Mr. Sajid Manzoor Asadi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs, at his office. Mr. Syafik was accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission.
During the meeting, they discussed the preparation of the incoming Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) as well the agenda items, including areas of cooperation and potential agreements to be materialised. They also exchanged views on the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, highlighting the importance of this visit in further strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for collaboration between Malaysia and Pakistan.
Additionally, they discussed the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) and its role in facilitating capacity-building initiatives and technical assistance between Malaysia and Pakistan. The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue working closely to enhance economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
