On Monday, 08 May 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended the inaugural ceremony of a training program, entitled Digital Payments Landscape and Financial Inclusion in Emerging Markets, organized by the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), State Bank of Pakistan with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in collaboration with ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.
His Excellency the High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission. Malaysia is represented by two officials; Mr. Azizul Adzani, representing Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), and Ms. Salina Mokhtar, representing the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.
The five-day training program was specifically designed for the officials of the Central Banks of the ASEAN Member States. In total, 24 participants from seven (7) ASEAN countries are attending the training program.
